Union Defeat Montreal Impact, 1-0

Report From Philadelphia Union 

Montreal, Quebec. (Aug. 22, 2015) – The Philadelphia Union defeated the Montreal Impact 1-0 in the second meeting between the two teams this season Saturday night. The Union played majority of the game with a defensive edge, but found the back of the net in 78th minute from Sebastien´s Le Toux goal with Eric Ayuk and C.J. Sapong giving the assists. Andre Blake made his first appearance with the Union this season, making a total of four saves and maintaining a clean sheet despite having to defend against the strong offensive pressure from the Impact. This was the Union’s first win in five games and their first ever victory in Stade Saputo. The Union return to PPL Park on Saturday, Aug. 29 to face the New England Revolution at 7 p.m.

  • The Union posted consecutive clean sheets on the road for the first time since Aug. 17, 2013 and for just the third time in franchise history. The consecutive minute streak is 266, set in 2011. The Union are currently at 191.
