The Philadelphia Flyers announced that they have signed 5-10, 160-lb forward Kevin Goumas from the University of New Hampshire to an Amateur Try-Out for the remainder of the season and an American Hockey League contract for the 2014-15 season, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.
Goumas, 22 (11/19/91), recently completed his senior year at UNH where he led the Wildcats in points (52) and assists (33) in 40 games. Throughout his four-year career, he averaged a point per-game pace with 146 points (44g-102a) in 146 games for the Wildcats.
A native of Long Beach, NY, Goumas will report to the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.
