PHILADELPHIA – In the Philadelphia Soul’s first ever out of market home game, the DraftKings Boardwalk Bowl is set for Saturday, May 30 at 6 p.m. at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. In what hopes to be the first of an annual event, the Soul are announcing a series of events surrounding the big game.
Starting the night before the game, on Friday, May 29, the South Jersey Chamber of Commerce along with the Metropolitan Business and Citizens Association will host a “Business After Business” event from 6-8 p.m. at the Tropicana Casino and Resort, inside of Chickie’s and Pete’s restaurant. This event is tailored to business executives looking to network with other business executives. Soul owners Ron Jaworski and Marques Colston will be in attendance along with the Philadelphia Soul players and coaches. The event will also include a live broadcast from ESPN Radio 97.3 with the Mike Gill Show hosting a one hour DraftKings Boardwalk Bowl Special Show from 7-8 p.m. Tickets for this event are available at www.chambersnj.com, click on events.
The official DraftKings Boardwalk Bowl Pep Rally presented by WJSE 106.3 “The Rock Alternative”, is set for 12-2 p.m. on May 30 at the Tropicana Casino and Resort inside of Chickie’s and Pete’s Restaurant. The Pep Rally will be highlighted by a live performance from “Live Revolution”, a 1980’s cover band playing the likes of Guns N Roses, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Motley Crue and more. The Pep Rally will also feature a performance by renowned Atlantic City Sand Pipers Drum and Pipes band who will also perform during the game. Ron Jaworski, Marques Colston, Soul players and coaches will also be in attendance at this event and available for autographs. This event will be free to the public.
Also at 12 p.m. on May 30, there will be a Youth Football Combine designed for kids ages 5 to 14 and run by Soul players and management and designed to give kids a pro athlete combine experience. Youth players will be able to be tested in the 40-yard dash, Short Shuttle, 3-cone drill and vertical jump. For more information or to sign up, go towww.PhiladelphiaSoul.com/youthfootball. Following the Youth Football Combine, there will be a dance clinic run by the Soul dance team coach and dancers. Dancers at the clinic will learn a dance routine in which they will then perform during the Boardwalk Bowl game as part of the pre-game festivities. Global Spectrum, operators of Historic Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center, will host the Bud Light Boardwalk Pre-Party on Saturday, May 30 before the start of the Boardwalk Bowl. The free tailgate party will be held on the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk at Kennedy Plaza starting at 3 p.m. and will be open to both ticketholders as well as the general public. It will feature food and beverage available for purchase from local vendors Ducktown Tavern and Mad Dog Morgan’s, live DJ entertainment provided by Longport Media, and other on-site activations.
Kickoff for the game will be at 6:05 p.m. at Boardwalk Hall and will feature the currently undefeated Philadelphia Soul (7-0) vs. Las Vegas Outlaws (3-3). The game will also be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
