Late Sunday evening, the NBA announced which players had received individual honors for their performances at the Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. Washington’s Glen Rice, Jr. was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player, while nine other participants were named to the event’s first and second teams.
Rookie swingman Jordan McRae, drafted 58th-overall in 2014, made the cut for the Sixers, earning second-team honors after averaging 21.0 points (50.0 FG%) in four appearances in Las Vegas. He was joined by Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz), Tim Hardaway, Jr. (New York Knicks), Russ Smith (New Orleans Pelicans), and T.J. Warren (Phoenix Suns).
The All-NBA Summer League first team was comprised of Wizards forward Otto Porter, Chicago Bulls teammates Doug McDermott and Tony Snell, and Donatas Motiejunas of the Houston Rockets.
