ESPN has ranked the Philadelphia 76ers No. 1 overall within its “Great Analytics Rankings,” a system that has rated all 122 teams within the NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB based on criteria such as “strength of each franchise’s analytics staff, its buy-in from execs and coaches, its investment in biometric data and how much its approach is predicated on analytics.” A top 10 was created along with a bottom 10.
The Phillies rank last while the Eagles are considered to be “believers” in analytics and the Flyers are considered to have “one foot in.” See the full rankings here.
