PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Philadelphia 76ers today announced the team has acquired the Denver Nuggets’ 2017 second round pick from the Houston Rockets and center Joel Anthony from the Detroit Pistons as part of a multi-team trade in which the Sixers sent the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum to Houston.
Anthony is in his ninth NBA season. In 465 career games with 110 starts, he is averaging two points and three rebounds while shooting 51% from the floor.
In a related move, the Sixers waived guard-forward JaKarr Sampson.
