Report From Philadelphia Flyers
* Thursday marked the second consecutive visit for the Flyers to St. Louis where the game was scoreless through regulation and overtime. The Blues also won in that circumstance last year on April 1, 2014 when it was Ryan Miller vs. Ray Emery.
* It is the first time in franchise history that the Flyers have played consecutive games in a road building where neither team scored a goal during regulation or overtime play.
* This is the third time the Flyers have had such a game against the Blues. In addition to last season, the teams played to a 0-0 tie on October 26, 1969.
* This is only the third instance in the NHL since the onset of the shootout where two teams have played scoreless hockey to the shootout on more than one occasion in the same building. The others were St. Louis at Los Angeles and Phoenix at San Jose. Neither of those were consecutive visits for the road team.
* Thursday was the 14th game overall in Flyers history that was 0-0 after regulation and overtime where applicable.
* Steve Mason has lost two 1-0 shootout games this year. He now has more road shutouts this season than he does road wins. Mason is 1-10-6 on the road this year despite having a 2.76 GAA and .907 save percentage away from the Wells Fargo Center.
* The Flyers had 28 shots on goal and an additional 35 that didn’t reach the net, 23 of which were blocked.
* The Flyers return to action on Saturday when they host Detroit (1pm, CSN, 97.5 FM).
