Without their captain Claude Giroux for the second consecutive game, the Philadelphia Flyers lost to the host Carolina Panthers, 3-1, on Tuesday night. Scott Laughton gave Philly a 1-0 lead that held through the first intermission with his fifth goal of the season. Shayne Gostisbehere also saw his point streak end at 15 games as Carolina goalie Cam Ward turned away 36 of 37 shots. Michal Neuvirth had just 15 saves on 18 shots to take the loss in net.
