Phillies Sign Revere, Avoid Arbitration

The Phillies announced Friday that they have avoided salary arbitration with center fielder Ben Revere.

The parties agreed to a one-year, $1.95 million contract, which includes award bonuses. Revere originally requested $2.425 million, while the Phillies offered $1.4 million.

The Phillies recently avoided arbitration with right-hander Kyle Kendrick, left-hander Antonio Bastardo and outfielder John Mayberry Jr.

All of their players eligible for salary arbitration have been signed.
