Phillies Reportedly Trade Hamels During Blowout Loss to Blue Jays

As Jerome Williams and the Philadelphia Phillies labored through an 8-2 loss in Toronto to end their road trip Wednesday night, ace Cole Hamels reportedly became a member of the Texas Rangers. According to numerous reports, Hamels has been sent to Arlington along with reliever Jake Diekman for a return of five minor leaguers, including three of the Rangers’ top five prospects, and veteran Matt Harrison, who’s spent most of the last three seasons plagued by back problems.
