The Phillies used a four-run eighth inning on Tuesday to put themselves in position to steal a game away from the Mets, but would ultimately fall one run shy during a 5-4 loss in 10 innings in New York. Ben Revere’s two-run triple plated the first runs of the game for the Phils, who sent more than three batters to the plate in just two of the first seven innings of play. Maikel Franco’s two out single to score Freddy Galvis tied the game at 4-4 before Wilmer Flores again came through for New York in the 10th with a two-out single. For more on this game, click here.
