Two early one-goal leads we not enough for the Philadelphia Flyers to carry the momentum during a 5-2 loss to the visiting Washington Capitals on Thursday night in Philly. Scott Laughton’s third goal of the season at 3:34 of the first period gave the Flyers a 1-0 advantage and Claude Giroux netted a power play goal, his fifth score of the season, at 1:07 in the second period to give Philly a 2-1 lead, but four unanswered goals by the Caps provided the difference. Steve Mason stopped 27 of 32 shots. For more on this game, click here.
