The Philadelphia Flyers beat the odds on Saturday when they won the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft to be held June 23 in Chicago. The Flyers held just a 2.4 percent chance of receiving the second overall selection in the draft through the weighted lottery after finishing 19th among all NHL teams this season and jumped 11 teams in getting the second pick.
