Report From Philadelphia Eagles
On Thursday afternoon, the Eagles announced the signing of two players to reserve/futures contracts – running back Ross Scheuerman and tight end Chris Pantale.
Scheuerman, listed at 6-0, 210 pounds, played his college football locally at Lafayette, where he was a four-time All-Patriot League selection. With the Leopards, he rushed for 3,504 yards and 31 touchdowns in his career. He was originally signed as a free agent by the Pittsburgh Steelers in May 2015, but was placed on injured reserve during Training Camp before being released. He then signed with the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad in December.
Pantale was originally signed to the Eagles practice squad in September 2015, spending the year on the Eagles’ practice squad. The 6-5 tight end has playing experience in the NFL, appearing in the final five games of the 2014 season for the Jets, playing mostly as a special teams player. The Boston College product has also spent time with the Chicago Bears.
