Running back Darren Sproles (knee) and linebacker Mychal Kendricks (calf) remained limited in Thursday’s training session for the second straight day.
Defensive coordinator Bill Davis said Wednesday that the team is taking Kendricks’ situation one day at a time, “slowly leaking him back in there” to see how Kendricks is feeling in recovery.
The rest of the Eagles remained mainly the same in terms of training participation, with just one difference: cornerback Jaylen Watkins (wrist) was added to the injury report Thursday. He was a full participant, as were running back Chris Polk (hamstring) and linebacker DeMeco Ryans (groin).
Center Jason Kelce (hernia) and left guard Evan Mathis (knee) were once again limited in participation as they work their way back from serious injuries.
Wide receiver Brad Smith (groin) remained the only player not participating in training.
CARDINALS COULD GET DE CAMPBELL BACK
Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell was limited in Thursday’s practice. It was his first on-field action since injuring his knee in the Week 5 loss to Denver. Campbell is “cautiously optimistic” that he’ll play Sunday, but wanted to get on the practice field and was able to do so Thursday. Campbell’s knee won’t be 100 percent, but will still improve an already strong defensive front if he is able to play.
Campbell’s upgraded status is the team’s only change from Wednesday’s injury report. Wide receiver John Brown (ankle), running back Andre Ellington (foot) and safety Rashad Johnson (knee) were limited. Tight end Troy Niklas (ankle) did not practice. Defensive end Frostee Rucker (calf) was a full participant.
