The Philadelphia Eagles may have raised a few peoples’ expectations as the 2016 preseason comes to an end. On Thursday, the Birds again won a defensive-style contest with a 14-6 win over the visiting New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field–scoring only on defensive and special teams touchdowns. (Paul Turner’s 71-yard punt return in the second quarter and Ed Reynolds’ 90-yard interception return of an errant Christian Hackenberg pass in the third quarter).
