Sixers Roster Update: Noel to Have Surgery, Brand to Retire, Simmons to Return in the New Year?

Along with collecting their second win of the 2016-17 preseason on Friday, the Philadelphia 76ers announced a few updates on Nerlens Noel and, kind of sort of, Ben Simmons. Head coach Brett Brown hinted that the rookie Simmons could make a January return before reportedly back-peddling. Noel, meanwhile, will under go what’s considered a minor elective surgical procedure in the coming days to address an inflamed plica in his left knee. For more on these players, click here.
