Though he by no means pitched poorly overall, Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Aaron Harang picked a bad night to have a hiccup. The Colorado Rockies put up a three spot in the first inning that the Phillies would eventually erase as Harang settled down to go six strong and allow no more runs, but the Phils’ bullpen could not hold up its end of the bargain en route to coughing up three runs over two innings during a 6-5 loss that ended Philly’s winning streak at six games. Maikel Franco carried the offense with a 3-for-4 performance, including an RBI single in the third inning that tied the game at 3-3 and a two-run single that again tied the game in the eighth at 5-5 before a solo home run by Rockie catcher Nick Hundley off Justin De Fratus gave his club the 6-5 lead.
