Competitive and amateur runners dressed in their most creative costumes are encouraged to participate in the second annual “Flyers Charities Halloween 5K and 1-Mile Walk” at the Wells Fargo Complex on Saturday, October 26, beginning at 8 a.m. The 5K is a USATF certified course that will begin and end at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia and be timed by Mid-Atlantic Timing using the Jaguar Chip Timing System.
Early bird registration is $35 to participate in the 5K and $25 to participate in the one-mile walk. Regular prices will begin August 1. All participants will receive a race bib (including timing chips for 5K runners only) and commemorative tech T-shirt; an athletic wicking shirt. Log on toFlyersCharities.org/5K to register.
Prizes will be awarded for top male and female runners in the 5K, along with prizes for best costumes. The event will also feature a family fun area that will include interactive inflatables, face painters, pumpkin painting and other fun activities. Event parking is free.
